If you live too far away to pick up your poultry at our Hazleton, Iowa location you may wish to have your order delivered by mail. We have been shipping poultry by mail for years and have had excellent service as many of you already know whom we have shipped to in past years. WE GUARANTEE LIVE DELIVERY TO YOUR POST OFFICE.
Please place your order as early as possible to allow plenty of time for setting of eggs, etc. Time allowances for certain specialty breeds which require considerable advance notice, are listed in the poultry price list elsewhere on this website.

PAYMENT MUST ACCOMPANY ALL MAIL ORDERS. MAKE ALL CHECKS, BANK DRAFTS OR MONEY ORDERS PAYABLE TO: SUN RAY CHICKS HATCHERY, P.O. BOX 300, HAZLETON, IA 50641-0300. ALLOW AT LEAST 14 DAYS FOR PERSONAL CHECKS TO CLEAR YOUR BANK. WE ALSO ACCEPT MASTERCARD AND VISA.
PLEASE GIVE WEEK DESIRED WHEN ORDERING AND PLEASE GIVE AN ALTERNATE DATE IN CASE WE ARE SHORT OR SOLD OUT ON THAT PARTICULAR WEEK. WE WILL SEND YOU A CONFIRMATION ON YOUR ORDER AND THE PROJECTED DATE OF ARRIVAL AT YOUR POST OFFICE. MINIMUM CHICK ORDER FOR ANY BREED IS 25. IMPORTANT!
Please remember, when chicks arrive at your post office they must be your top priority to pick up and put on feed and water.
KNOW YOUR TEMPERATUREFor the first week maintain the temperature at CHICK HEIGHT at 95 degrees. Decrease the temperature five degrees per week until a temperature of 70 degrees is reached. NOTE: With turkeys and Pheasants start them 5 degrees higher.
